Richard Watson attended the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University and earned a Juris Doctorate in 1991. The native Floridian attended Wofford College where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Foreign Languages. In 1992, he was admitted to the Florida Bar. During the course of his career, Watson is credited with attaining the largest settlement ever awarded against Volusia County resulting from a Wrongful Death Case, $1 million. Watson is a visiting professor at Florida Coastal School of Law. His practice area is broad and includes Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Medical Malpractice, Nursing Home Abuse, Premises Liability, Insurance Law, Labor and Employment, Consumer Litigation and Discrimination. He is a member of The Florida Bar and The Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
